Resumo: The objective in this study was to evaluate the influence of the tire particles addition and Eucalyptus grandis particles on physical, mechanical and thermal properties. The composites with waste tires were produced with the addition of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% of ground rubber and 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10% of ash that are collected after rubber particles burning for energy production. They were separated in two groups, ash, collected after burning and sifted ashes that were crushed and sieved.Eucalyptus grandis particles were used to product gypsum-wood and cement-wood panels, in order to compare their properties.Regarding to composites with waste tires, the samples with 10% of ashes that were not sifted have a lower thermal conductivity. The flexural and compression tests were performed according to EN 13279-2, 2006.All the composites showed lower mechanical behavior in relation to the reference. The compression and flexural values obtained from tire gypsum composite reached the minimum values established by standard EN 13279-1, 2008.The treatments with 2.5% and 5% of ground rubber presented the best values of tensile strength, lower density than reference and also lower modulus of elasticity. In relation to the panels, the results indicated that there are no significant statistical differences in density, water absorption and swelling in thickness, both after 2h and 24h of water immersion, elasticity modulus for flexion and parallel compression. The cement-wood panels obtained higher values in moisture retention, modulus of rupture for static bending test and internal bonding.
