Abstract: The use of computational tools and models with age and spatial structure becomes increasingly present in the theoretical study of population dynamics. Understanding the spatial distribution of a species is an important factor, which allows to establish the number of samples to evaluate the population density and determine strategies for pest control. The aphid Aphis gossypii Glover, 1877 (Hemiptera: Aphididae) is considered an important key pest due to the damage it can cause to several plants species. In this way, the objective of this work was to study the behavior of the space-time dynamics of the aphid A. gossypii in cotton, considering the foliage cycle of the plant, under changes in the migration parameters of winged and winged forms. Thus, it was evaluated the effects of these parameters on the time-dependent variables, the spatial distribution, and the temporal dynamics of cluster formation. The simulations of space-time dynamics were carried out through programs developed in C language, which take into account adaptations of the Penna Model based on biological characteristics of the aphid it A. gossypii.With this study, we observed phase transitions, which, in some cases, follow power laws.
