| Abstract: | Due to Brazilian Law n. 12,651/2012 article 61-A easing, this study aimed to analyze representative scenarios of changes related to Permanent Preservation Areas (PPA) along watercourses in a sub-basin in the city of Itanhandu (MG), located in Serra da Mantiqueira region. With the aid of a Geographic Information System and data from Minas Gerais Rural Environmental Registry platform, the sub-basin and its properties were delimited. The results indicated a reduction of approximately 48% of the protected area in relation to previous legislation, which will directly affect water resources conservation. |
