Abstract: This text the objective of this article is to present a theoretical reflection of articles that focus on literacy, digital literacy and digital literacy, aimed at discussing the skills that permeate the development of digital literacy, emphasizing the question of the concept "digital natives”, reflecting on the role of the teacher as mediator of learning in this context. It is assumed a research with qualitative focus, of bibliographic character, taking as a methodological procedure the description from a theoretical reflection on the implications of the TDIC in reading and writing in the Information Society from the works of Bennett, Maton and Kervin 2008; Bennett and Maton, 2010; Fajardo et. Al, 2016; Silva and Arturo, 2016; and we confront the concept of Digital Natives created by Marc Prensky (2001). The reflection allowed to understand that the abilities that underlie the digital literacy, also includes the observation, the analysis and the comparison of information.
