Resumo: | Forestry with exotic species plays an important role in Brazil, providing raw material for the production of wood, firewood, coal, cellulose, among others. The growing demand for wood and its products and the worldwide trend of preservation of natural ecos ystems are driving the search for forest production with minimal environmental impact and fast growing species, causing an increase in the cultivation of exotic forest species in Brazil. In this context, we can mention the species Pinus caribeae and Acrocarpus fraxinifolius and the availability of nutrients and type of soil preparation as factors that influence the productivity of the reforestation. Thus, the first part of the work had as objective to verify the effect of the differe nt doses of potassic and nitrogen fertilization and the interaction of these nutrients, in the growth of Pinus caribaea var. hondurensis in the field. The second part aimed to evaluate the effect of different doses of phosphorus and the type of soil preparation under the initial growth of Acrocarpus fraxinifolius. From the results found, the nitrogen had no significant effect on the height and diameter of Pinus caribaea var. hondurensis and potassium fertilization with 65 g of potassium chloride per plant provided better averages of height and diameter at chest height under the conditions of this study. For Acrocarpus fraxinifolius, fertilization with 107 g of single superphosphate when combined with conventional soil preparation yielded the plants with the best performance at 210 days after fertilization. |
