Abstract: Confuga persephone is the only troglobitic planthopper species known for New Zealand to date. We provide a complementary description for this species, including photographs of structures of taxonomic interest, as well as from a living specimen. Information on its habitat and threats is given. We strongly recommend this species to be included on the list of endangered species for New Zealand.
