Resumo: The relationship between Brazil and Russia has grown considerably in recent years, according to information supplied by the website of the Russian Embassy in Brazil ( With the focus specifically on the issue of temporary mobility of individuals between both countries, there is still, however, the need to understand the meanings constructed by these individuals about their experiences. The purpose of this article, therefore, is to analyze some aspects that may have influenced possible identity transformations in some individuals who have gone through movements between Brazil and Russia, in an effort to understand their perceptions on the experience. For such, based on their reports in answering a questionnaire, an analysis is made based on the alleged meanings constructed and possible identity transformations, especially considering the impact different cultures play on individuals constitution. Results indicate that the experience of immersion in the other culture affects identity, no matter the reason for migration. Transformation in their perspective of the world, the perception of self, better understanding and respect to different cultures were identified.
