Abstract: Due to importance of education to citizenship, discussions on this subject have been made frequently these days. Thus, research has indicated improvements in initial and continuing teacher training. The purpose was to discuss the use of daily field of reflection as a tool for teaching practice. The analysis was done by the daily reflections present in the field. The diaries were made by undergraduate students of chemistry during a thermochemical Thematic Teaching Unit, in classes of second years of high school in a school Minas Gerais state, Brazil. The analyzes were made according to the theoretical conceptions, and it was possible to observe the importance of the field diary use by pre-service chemistry teacher as a tool to reflection in dilemmas and, to help them also to reflect and change their attitude and improve their teaching practice.
