Abstract: Education is an essential right of humanity, this being it must be, from the knowledge produced and accumulated historically by humanity, provide students with the qualities to fully exercise their social practices. In this sense, this work reports, analyzes and discusses the construction and application of a non-traditional methodology at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA-Universidade Federal de Lavras) in the subject: The Methodology of the Teaching of Biology from the Biology Major, to the teaching of the theme 'Uni and Multicellular Organisms' using a homemade microscope made with a laser as a pedagogical tool in a pedagogical sequence of Cellular Biology. The present study analyzes 10 evaluations made by participants of the class. The analysis was done according to the methodology of analysis of the theme, where two categories were constructed as a discussion: The pedagogical tool; active methodology of learning. Conclusion leads to the fact that it is important that the methodologies of learning view overcome the traditional model. Consisting of an active critic, reflexive, teachinglearning process.
