Abstract: Given the lack of studies involving the micropropagation of Eucalyptus globulus with purpose of rejuvenation, the present study aimed to evaluate the in vitro multiplication of axillary buds of E. globulus under the interaction of different culture media (WPM, JADS and MS) and BAP (0; 0.50 and 1.0 mg L-1) and NAA (0; 0.050 and 0.100 mg L-1) concentrations. After 84 days, we evaluated the number of buds per explant. The results showed that in vitro multiplication of E. globulus buds is a process highly regulated by media composition and concentration of the plant growth regulator. In general, the best results, as the proliferation of axillaries buds, were obtained in WPM culture media supplemented with 0.7 mg L-1 BAP and 0.05 mg L-1 NAA. In addition, there were variations among genotypes.
