Abstract: accopteryx gymnura is a rare emballonurine bat distributed from Guiana to the state of Pará, Brazil. This record extends its range more than 500 km from the easternmost locality. The presence of this species in an ecotonal Amazonian area suggests that these regions may act as possible refuges for other bat species and deserve more conservation attention.
