Resumo: This work presents the results of a story of experience in respect of the development of a proposal for the study of science in forensic chemistry, involving or teaching by research, experimentation and use of audiovisual resources. This proposal was developed by students participating in the Institutional Program of Teaching Initiation (PIBID) with students from the middle school. The perceptions of the secondary students about the development of the activity were recognized in order to understand its positive and negative aspects. In general, the activity has brought important contributions to the contextualization in the teaching of chemistry focusing on the difficulties related to the approach of concepts for the resolution of problem situations and reflection on the professional development in the initial formation of future teachers.
