dc.description.resumoA agricultura orgânica oferece alimentos saudáveis, preocupa-se com a conservação do ambiente e contribui para a evolução da sustentabilidade. No entanto, é de suma importância à escolha de cultivares adaptadas a essas condições de cultivo. O presente trabalho teve por objetivo estudar o comportamento de cultivares e híbridos de couve-flor (Brassica oleracea var. botritys), sob sistema de plantio direto e convencional em fase de conversão ao sistema orgânico. O trabalho foi conduzido em duas fases, em área experimental do Departamento de Agricultura da UFLA, Lavras, MG. A primeira fase consistiu na instalação do sorgo (Sorghum bicolor L. M.), planta utilizada como cobertura morta. Constatou-se que o sorgo apresentou boa produtividade de matéria fresca e matéria seca, e baixo índice de rebrota. Na segunda fase do trabalho realizou-se o transplantio das cultivares e híbridos de couve-flor sobre a palhada nos tratamentos da fase anterior e nos tratamentos com ausência da palhada. Utilizou-se o delineamento em blocos ao acaso, com 4 repetições em esquema fatorial 10x2. Observou-se que o híbrido Silver Streak, obteve a melhor resposta ao sistema orgânico, apresentando valores satisfatórios para todas as características de produção avaliada. Os híbridos HE1 e HE2, e a cultivar Bola de Neve, não tiveram comportamento satisfatório para a época em que foi desenvolvido o experimento.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoThe organic agriculture offers healthy food, worries about the environmental conservation and contributes to the evolution of sustainability. Yet, it is extremely important the selection of adapted cultivars to these conditions of cultivation. The present work had as objective study the conduct of cauliflower cultivars and hybrids (Brassica oleracea var. batritys), by the system of direct and conventional planting in a conversion phase to the organic system of production. The work was conducted in two phases, in an experimental area of the Agricultural Department of UFLA, Lavras, MG. The first phase constituted in the installation of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench), a plant used as dry material. It was verified that the sorghum presented good productivity of fresh material and dry material, and low index of new sprouting. On the second phase, the transplanting of the cauliflower cultivars was done on a mulch produced on the treatments of the first phase and on the treatments where the straw was absent. Lining in random blocks was used, with 4 repetitions in a 10x2 factorial scheme. The hybrid Silver Streak was the one that presented higher productivity and obtained better results in all tested characteristics. The hybrids HE1 and HE2, and the cultivar Snowball, did not have a satisfactory behavior at the period that the experiment was done.pt_BR
