Abstract: Rooting stem cuttings is one of the alternatives to propagate Coffea arabica L. hybrids on a commercial scale. This work aimed to verify the behavior of two C. arabica cultivars obtained by cuttings, carried out in two different environments. The experiment was installed in a completely randomized design, arranged in a 2×2 factorial scheme, with two cultivars (Mundo Novo 379-19 and Yellow Catuaí IAC 62) and two environments (shadehouse and greenhouse). The following variables: plant height, number of knots, number of paired leaves, main root length and plant dry matter were evaluated at the end of the experiment. Based on the results it was observed that cuttings of Coffea arabica kept under shadehouse presented better growth. Plants of Mundo Novo 379-19 were taller despite the lower number of paired leaves.
