| Abstract: | This study aimed at verifying the effect of preservative treatment on the physical and mechanical properties of plywood. The plywood panels were produced with veneers of Pinus taeda wood and bonded with phenol- -formaldehyde adhesive applied at 320 g/m² glue content in double line. The panel treatment was carried out in an autoclave using vacuum and pressure, using two types of preservative products (CCA and CCB) and two retentions (4.0 and 6.5 kg/m³). From the results it can be concluded that the preservative treatment of the plywood resulted in improving trend thickness swelling and in the reduction of mechanical properties. |
