Resumo: Eating behavior is defined as all forms of living with food. There are several reasons that define the food choice of our customers. These reasons may explain why the choices vary over time between people. The aim of the research on how eating behaviors are constructed during pregnancy. The methodology used was the qualitative approach, through profound change with pregnant women. The interviewees' choice was based on accessibility and the closing of the sample by saturation. For an interview, a semi-structured script was prepared. The findings were recorded and produced in full. For data analysis, Content Analysis was used (BARDIN, 2016). The interviewees' gestational age ranged from 17 weeks to 36 weeks. Two definitions defined a priori were analyzed: dietary attitudes and social conditions. A posteriori the category of analysis Others appeared. The first category of analysis of Food Attitudes was divided into three main themes: Feelings, Beliefs and Practices. If, on the one hand, they feel good when looking for a healthier diet, they feel guilty when they run away from the idealized diet. Regarding beliefs, there is a rationality around them, which made them seek to eat in a more controlled way so that they could predict weight gain. In the Social Conditioners category, the perception of body image and health guidelines appeared as the strongest social factors for dietary change, where the current aesthetic standards stood out. In addition to the price and culture, origin and sensory aspects of the food. Decision-making in relation to pregnancy was also debated when a pregnant woman claimed that she had never thought about the interview questions. It is concluded that a pregnancy can be a motivating source for changes in eating behavior even when the ends are aesthetic.
