O PNEDH como ferramenta de consolidação e expansão dos direitos humanos

Abstract

This essay article chooses as an object of discussion the articulation between human rights and education. In this context, it is based on the assertion that education is a right provided and guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic. However, the lack of proposition of public policies or systematic knowledge about such policies can make access to quality education unfeasible. In this direction, this text aims to analyze the assumptions of the National Human Rights Education Plan (PNEDH), which are decisive for guaranteeing the rights to education. Of an essayistic nature, this article brings a provocation about the basic principles for an education in Human Rights and a compilation of the axes of action and their respective principles, conception and programmatic actions. Thus, the methodological procedure consisted of producing a reflection of theoretical texts and the PNEDH document. From the discussions undertaken, it was possible to verify the relevance of a more systematic knowledge of the assumptions of the PNEDH for the implementation of policies, notably more adequate to the demands of society, as well as the guarantee of access to quality education.
