Abstract: Costus spiralis (Jacq) is a rhizomatous herbaceous plant of Costaceae family, and until recently was included in Zingiberaceae family and there are just a little records showing the interaction between of this plant and fauna. This manuscript aims to record the use of its fruit as food source of the bird popularly known as Creamy-bellied Thrush, Turdus amaurochalinus (Cabanis, 1850).Then, this article show us the new information about this animal-plant interaction, new food resource to the bird and the possibility to seed dispersal to the plant.
