Resumo: The ash stands out among the residues of agro-industrial processes resulting from the generation of energy. Many of these ashes have pozzolanic reactivity, which can be used as a mineral addition in Portland cement matrices. Through this research, the objective was to evaluate the physical-mechanical properties provided by the use of different granulometries of sugar cane and bamboo bagasse ash in partial replacement to Portland cement used in the production of fiber cement. The ashes, separated by two granulometric intervals, replaced Portland cement CPV-ARI by 2%. The specimens were produced by extrusion, went through the curing process for 28 days, and, finally, were subjected to physical and mechanical tests. The addition of ash was beneficial and, in general, the modified treatments did not differ statistically from the control treatment. The treatment with the addition of ash from the sugarcane bagasse with a particle size of less than 0.074 mm presented a higher apparent density and, consequently, greater resistance, requiring the application of a greater amount of energy to bring it to rupture. The treatment with addition of bamboo ash with granulometry less than 0.074 mm showed a higher percentage of porosity, which resulted in a greater absorption of water, making its application less advantageous.
