Abstract: The article interweaves the symbolic images of the imaginary of the waters that sprout in the lyrics of the song “Eu e Água” by composer Caetano Veloso and the themes of gender and sexuality in the processes of teacher education. It presents aspects of the university extension project approved by Proext/MEC/2015 entitled “Bubbling confrontations to sexual violence in childhood in southern Minas Gerais”, coordinated by the research group Relations between philosophy and education for sexuality in contemporary times: the problem of teacher education. It also problematizes the testimony of a pedagogue member of the Sul Mineiro Forum for Children's Education. It presents conceptions of university extension infiltrated in the experiences, dilemmas, challenges and development of formative actions carried out by the research group immersed in the studies of post-critical theorizations, assuming a political ethical commitment to the concept of university extension based on post-critical methodologies. criticism when interfacing with broader social intervention research, especially those that correlate with teacher education when the themes are affected by social markers of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religiosity, generation and many other differences.
