Abstract: In Brazil, the family Tyrannidae has many representatives, and among them it is allocated to the bird popularly known as cock-tailed-tyrant, Alectrurus tricolor. This bird is considered a globally threatened species in the “vulnerable” category, and in the Brazilian list of animals threatened with extinction it is also categorized in the “vulnerable” status. This study, through field observations, during campaigns conducted between the years 2012 to 2020, aimed to confirm the locations of occurrence of this endangered species in the south of the state of Minas Gerais, southeast of Brazil. Twelve municipalities where the species occurs were confirmed, three of them unpublished in the literature and in photographic registration portals of citizen science.
