Abstract: | The objective of this study was to assess the condition of (In) Food and Nutritional Security of students enrolled in elementary and high school in the municipality of Rio Pomba / MG whose schools accessed the National School Feeding Program in 2019. Two data were used to collect data questionnaires, one referring to the Brazilian Food Insecurity Scale and the other that addressed 21 variables distributed in four constructs referring to social, economic aspects, access to public programs and policies, and also aspects of school feeding. Through descriptive statistical analysis and crossing of tables, the associations between the condition of (in) food security and each of the constructs were understood, concluding that the majority of families, despite being concerned about the possibility of missing food in the near future, they had no problem with their access and, therefore, they were in a food guarantee situation, with the PNAE fulfilling a fundamental role for this condition. |
