Abstract: The jaguar is the largest feline of the American continent and in Brazil is threatened being categorized as “vulnerable”. Faced with this situation, this manuscript aims to report a case of roadkill of jaguar in the state of Tocantins, northern Brazil. It is mentioned in the literature that the main threats of Panthera onca are urban development, energy production, mining, use of biological resources, changes in natural systems, pollution, agriculture, aquaculture and roads.
