Abstract: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of replacing agricultural limestone (AL) with mining waste (IOT) on the physical, mechanical, and durability properties of extruded fiber cement. The experimental results showed that replacing AL with IOT either improved or maintained the technological properties seen on conventional fiber cement, highlighting the 25% IOT formulations replacing AL. The 100% IOT formulations replacing AL showed the technical feasibility of use and may assist in reducing the amount of waste disposed of in containment dams and, consequently, the environmental disasters related to the ruptures of such dams.
