Abstract: The present qualitative research had the general objective of identifying the actions that already existed in a public university in the south of Minas Gerais and those that were implemented to include a Deaf master's student in the graduate program in Science Teaching and Mathematics Education. For data production, semi-structured interviews were used with the teaching staff, monitoring, the interpreter, the deaf student and a representative of the university's accessibility program. We sought to answer the following question: how was a public university in the south of Minas Gerais organized to favor accessibility and the permanence of its first Deaf student approved in a graduate program? For data analysis, the content analysis methodology proposed by Bardin (2016) and Mendes and Miskulin (2017) was used. With the data transcribed and analyzed, two categories of analysis were reached: the actions developed by the university in the process of including a Deaf master's student in postgraduate classes; institutional support and the strategies developed by the accessibility program to promote the inclusion of Deaf master's students. As a result of this research, it was noticed the importance of using visual resources for the accessibility of Deaf and Deaf people in universities, which is an action developed by the faculty and monitoring in the process of inclusion of the Deaf master's student. The university has an accessibility program that carried out actions for the inclusion of the master's student, but it was noticed that there were few guidelines on the insertion of the student carried out by the institution to the people involved in this process. It was also evident the lack of resources, materials and personnel to meet the demands of the Deaf student, and one of the actions that need to be developed is the hiring of interpreters so that there is no overload of this professional's work. From the results obtained, a Pedagogical Didactic Guide was produced, as a proposal for an educational product, containing the actions that an educational institution can develop when receiving Deaf or Deaf students in its academic spaces.
