Reconfiguração das escritas de si: a autoficção no limiar entre a vida e a ficção

Abstract

Within the scope of the self-writings, autofiction presents itself as a device or a category (Nascimento, 2016) to think about the borders between life and fiction. In this research, we seek to carry out a theoretical investigation into the main aspects that involve changes in the paradigms of self-writing, within the scope of contemporary Brazilian literature, more specifically when it comes to the production of João Gilberto Noll and Ricardo Lísias. We intend to discuss the mobility of the border between the autobiographical and fictional aspects of these authors, with a view to understanding the postmodern subject as a unfolding individual, indefinable in its entirety and in constant becoming. To this end, we sought to compare the main theoretical voices that have addressed the phenomenon of autofiction since its emergence in the 1970s, such as Jeannelle (2014) and Colonna (2014), as well as authors who address this phenomenon today, such as Evelina Hoisel (2019), Silviano Santiago (2004, 2008), Leonor Arfuch (2010), Diana Klinger (2006), Paula Sibilia (2016), Evando Nascimento (2010, 2016), among others. These theoretical voices are confronted with the analysis of two works of contemporary Brazilian literature, O céu dos suicidas, by Ricardo Lísias, and Lorde, by João Gilberto Noll, with the aim of understanding what are the approaches and departures resulting from these analyses. The results point to the fact that in autofiction there is a hybridism between biographical writing and the fictionalization of the subject. Questions about exposing the intimacy of the writer, the fragmentation and immediacy of postmodern life, permeated by the notion of spectacularization, are topics that make up the discussion about the reconfiguration of self-writing and illuminate the understanding of autofictional writing.
