Resumo: Tectona grandis Lin F. is a species of great economic interest, given its high commercial value and timber quality. Its silvicultural process, from genetic improvement, seedling production to timber harvesting, has been the object of study by many researchers, to understand the particularities of this species. In this context, this work aims to improve the vegetative propagation technique of this species, addressing the main characteristics of the mini garden that influence the production of seedlings of this species and the optimization of the greenhouse. To this end, different characteristics of the mini garden were evaluated, production of shoots throughout the year, optimization of the greenhouse, production and rooting performance of each genetic material, in addition to the technical qualifications of the forest nursery employees. The work was carried out in a forest nursery in the Mato Grosso region, with eight commercial clones and four clones intended for the company's research. For data analysis, the multivariate technique was used to evaluate the characteristics of the mini-garden and the production of mini-cuttings throughout the year and the univariate technique was used to optimize the greenhouse according to the time of year and genetic material. In general, within the evaluated parameters and management conditions adopted, it is concluded that the management of the mini-garden influences the survival of the seedling, the collaborators have similar quality standards in the mini-stakes and there is a difference in the productive behavior and rooting time according to with genetic material and time of year.
