Resumo: Brazil is one of the largest food producers and exporters in the world. Due to the practice of intensive agriculture in a tropical climate and soils that are generally not very fertile and acidic, there is an increase in phytosanitary problems. Diseases, forecasts and plants are the main factors limiting productivity. Furthermore, the occurrence of these consequences occurs simultaneously in the field, making control difficult and expensive, as there is no specific product on the market with action capable of controlling this set of problems. With the intention of reducing damage and costs and optimizing time, the practice of mixing agrochemical products in tanks has been widely used in Brazil, as it becomes viable for the producer, due to the reduction in the number of sprays, quick results, smaller costs due to savings in labor, wear on machinery, fuel consumption and carbon emissions and damage to the crop canopy, in addition to other benefits. However, mixtures can undergo physical-chemical changes, due to the incompatibility of different active ingredients present in the syrup, causing problems in the machinery used to apply the products, loss of effectiveness of the mixed active ingredients and increased toxicity, causing damage to plants. The practice of tank mixing has always been present on rural properties across the country. However, its regulation only occurred in 2018, according to Ordinance 148 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA). Due to this time difference between use and the underlying scarcity of information and knowledge about the practice. Research carried out cites the interest of most producers in tank mix information. Therefore, this review aims to highlight and bring together the information and work already carried out on these topics.
