Ecossistema de inovação do estado de Goiás: panorama das agtechs na promoção de agropecuária sustentável

Abstract

This study focuses on agricultural innovation in Goiás, emphasizing the role of public and private research entities in strengthening AgTechs within the state's innovation ecosystem, a recognized agricultural center in Brazil. The research highlights the significant transformation driven by the adoption of technology development programs, examining the key actors in the innovation ecosystem, with a particular focus on AgTechs. These entities emerge as crucial elements in the innovation process, reflecting the growing importance of technology in agriculture and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The methodology adopted in this study includes qualitative and quantitative analyses of interactions and synergies between companies, research institutions, government, and civil society, highlighting how intersectoral collaboration and open innovation contribute to the sector's sustainable development. This work also explores the influence of government and public policies in fostering agricultural innovation in Goiás, aiming to offer valuable insights for farmers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers. The research results demonstrate that Goiás's innovation ecosystem is currently in a structuring phase, characterized by increasing collaboration between public and private sectors. While challenges such as the need for investment networks and closer ties between academia and the productive sector remain, the study reveals a significant potential for inclusive and sustainable agricultural growth in the state. The study underscores the importance of effective public policies and innovation strategies that integrate all relevant actors, including the private sector and the academic community, to enhance the development of companies and technologies. This study contributes significantly to the field of agricultural innovation and sustainable development, providing a comprehensive model for understanding and promoting innovation in agricultural environments, especially in emerging regions such as the state of Goiás.
