| metadata.ojs.dc.description.resumo: | A partir da década de 60, o setor avícola brasileiro transformou-se em um verdadeiro complexo agroindustrial. A avicultura brasileira é a maior exportadora mundial de carne de frango. Objetiva-se com este trabalho levantar fatores que levaram ao desenvolvimento do sistema agroindustrial (SAG) avícola brasileiro e discutir perspectivas para o setor. A pesquisa bibliográfica científica e a consulta a bases de dados, de instituições especializadas, foram usadas como metodologia. Observou-se que os principais aspectos que impulsionaram o desenvolvimento da avicultura industrial foram: tecnologia em melhoramento genético; incentivos fiscais do governo; aumento da produção de grãos, especialmente no Cerrado; instalação de grandes agroindústrias de alimentos e principalmente um modelo de produção baseado na integração agroindústria/produtor. Atualmente, o setor enfrenta os impactos da Influenza Aviária que causou, em nível mundial, uma queda no consumo de carne de frango. Utilizou-se a análise SWOT, como ferramenta de organização das informações e definição de estratégias para o setor. O Brasil, que é o maior exportador global ainda livre da doença, tem grande potencial para ampliar suas exportações, desde que mantenha sua qualidade sanitária na produção de frango. Por fim, considera-se que o momento seja de cautela na produção, pois o mercado ainda enfrenta reflexos da queda no consumo, e deve-se intensificar o controle e a prevenção da Influenza Aviária. |
| metadata.ojs.dc.description.abstract: | Since the 60s, the Brazilian poultry sector has become a real agroindustrial complex. The Brazilian poultry sector is the world biggest exporter of chicken meat. This paper aims to rise factors which have developed the Brazilian SAG and discuss future perspectives for the sector. Scientific bibliographic research and the specialized institutions database consultation were used as methodology in this article. It was observed that the main aspects which have stimulated the development of the industrial poultry were: use of technology in genetic improvement; government tax incentivation; increase of grain production, especially in the cerrado; installation of great foods agrorindustries and mainly the elaboration of a production model based on the integration agroindustry/producer. Nowadays the sector faces the impacts of SARS (The Bird Flu), which has caused a decline in the poultry meat consumption worldwide. A SWOT analysis was used as a tool in order to organize some information and to define strategies to the sector. Brazil, being the greater global exporter still free from this illness has a great potential to broaden its exports, if it keeps its sanitary quality in the chicken meat production. Finally, it is considered that the moment is of caution in the production, once the market still faces reflexes of the fall in consumption, and that the control and prevention of SARS must be intensified. |
