O trabalho da memória: entre a história e o testemunho

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is reaching literature from studies on the physiology of memory. At first, this area of research helps us understanding the ways that memory works, as well as its ways of storing information. Counterpoint will be done initially with the knowledge of the Greeks and Romans on the art of memory and with Benjamin´s conception of open history. Finally, the boundaries between history and fiction will be questioned from the literature of testimony.
