Desvalorizações cambiais e captação de divisas: o caso brasileiro de soja em grão

| dc.description.abstract | This paper, supported on the theory of the Boarding of the Elasticities, had as objective to show the influence of the exchange rate depreciation in the value of the Brazilian exportations. For this purpose, Structural Vector Autoregressive Models (SVAR Models) where used to calculate the offer of foreign currency elasticities, determining if depreciations in the currency would increase or reduce the exported value of soybean. The results showed that cambial depreciations really raise the value of the Brazilian exportations. The impulse response functions show that the exportation price is the variable that exerted greater influence in the exported value, indicating, perhaps, that politics that degenerate the Brazilian soybean exportations can contribute for the capitation of foreign currency through this product. | |
| dc.description.resumo | Neste trabalho, apoiado na teoria da Abordagem das Elasticidades, objetivou-se mostrar a influência da desvalorização cambial no valor das exportações brasileiras. Para isso, utilizaram-se os modelos SVAR (Vetores Auto-regressivos Estruturais) para calcular as elasticidades de oferta de divisas, determinando se desvalorizações na moeda aumentariam ou reduziriam o valor exportado de soja em grão. Pelos resultados, verificou-se que desvalorizações cambiais de fato elevam o valor das exportações brasileiras. Nas funções de impulso-resposta, verifica-se que o preço de exportação é a variável que exerce maior influência no valor exportado, sugerindo, talvez, que políticas que desonerem as exportações brasileiras de soja em grão podem contribuir para a captação de divisas por meio desse produto. | |
