Resumo
A degradação dos recursos naturais, principalmente vegetação, solo e água, vêm crescendo de forma alarmante, atingindo níveis críticos que refletem no assoreamento dos cursos de água e na deterioração do meio ambiente. O solo e a água são componentes essenciais à vida, sendo focos principais para várias propostas de uso, estudos e base para a caracterização e proteção dos ecossistemas. Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a cobertura vegetal, os atributos físicos e químicos do solo, as características fisiográficas e potencialidade de recarga de água do solo na sub-bacia das Posses localizada no município de Extrema (MG). A predominância por pastagens na sub-bacia, alterando o ambiente natural e o relevo predominantemente ondulado a forte ondulado, são os principais fatores que interferem na potencialidade de recarga do solo da sub-bacia das Posses.
Natural resources degradation, mainly water, soil and vegetation, has been growing lately, having reached alarming levels and leading the siltation of the water courses causing environmental deterioration. Water and soil are life´s essential components, being the main focuses of several use proposals, studies and base for characterization and protection of ecosystems. The aim of this work was to evaluate the vegetal covering, the physical and chemical attributes of the soil and the physiographic characteristics and potentiality of water recharge at the Sub-basin of Posses located in Extrema (MG). The predominance of pasture in the sub-basin, which changes the natural environment and the mostly undulated to strongly undulated relief, are the main factors that interfere on the potentiality of water recharge at the Sub-basin of Posses.
