dc.description.abstractThis research analyzed the probable causes of accidents at work, of the forest sectors, of a Federal Institution of Higher education in Minas Gerais state looking for minimizing risks damages to worker’s health and safety. The analyses were accomplished by means of the Accidents Communications in Service data bank and the results showed that in the studied period, for the forest sector, 50.71% of the accidents were attributed to the insecure act, 16.98% to insecure condition and 17.94% to personal factor of insecurity. The functional evaluation indicated that in 7.14% of the accidents occurred with workers that were not in the function established by the employment respective contracts. The rates of gravity and frequency of accidents calculated for the forest sectors allowed to conclude that the indices were higher than the others sectors and much higher than the values published by the Brazilian Ministry of Social Service and Assistance.
dc.description.resumoEsta pesquisa analisou as prováveis causas geradoras de acidentes no trabalho, com ênfase nos setores florestais de uma Instituição Federal de Ensino Superior no Estado de Minas Gerais, objetivando conhecer e agir preventivamente nas prováveis fontes geradoras de danos à saúde e segurança do trabalhador. As análises foram realizadas através das Comunicações de Acidentes em Serviço (CAS) onde a avaliação causal mostra que, no período analisado, para o setor florestal, 50,71% dos acidentes foram em conseqüência de ato inseguro, 16,98% por condição insegura e 17,94% por fator pessoal de insegurança. A avaliação funcional aponta que em 7,14%dos acidentes registrados havia desvio de função. Os cálculos das taxas de gravidade e de freqüência de acidentes, analisados para cada setor florestal, permitiram concluir que os índices eram elevados, tanto em relação aos demais setores da Instituição, quanto aos valores apontados pela previdência social.
