A água como bem comum: uma revisão integrativa da literatura internacional

Abstract

The present work aims to analyze the understanding of water as a common good in international studies, based on an integrative review. In the methodology, an integrative literature review was used, through searches in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. At first, 188 papers published in the last 10 years were found. However, considering the pre-established criteria, 25 articles were analyzed, which allowed meeting the proposed objective. In the results, a synthesis was presented of how the authors have treated water from the perspective of the common good in the international literature. In addition, seven analysis categories emerged from the reading of the articles, namely: 1 – Common goods; 2 – Water governance; 3 – Management of water resources; 4 – Right to water; 5 – Privatization of water; 6 – Social movements and collective action and 7 – Public policies. The categories revealed understandings and disputes around water in different countries and different perspectives of the common good.
