O processo de logística reversa de embalagens de agrotóxicos: um estudo de caso sobre o inpEV

Abstract

This research aimed to identify existing processes in the operations of Reverse Logistics (RL) of packages of pesticides employed and managed by the National Institute of Empty Packaging Processing - inpEV. The methodology applied encompassed the literature search on RL and a case study of the Institute. It has been observed that the inpEV has a functioning administration in RL, helping to reduce the environmental impact aggravated by an incorrect disposal of packages of pesticides. It was also found that all the links of production chain of pesticides are legally responsible for the RL of packages: the farmer has a duty to return the packages to the receiving unit (RU) or point of return, stated in the bill of sale; the dealer is responsible for the costs of building and administration of RU, which are shared with the manufacturers; these are responsible for the final destination. The Government, in its turn, is responsible for monitoring the process as a whole. The results obtained from this research highlight the need for a higher awareness of those involved by means of environmental training, thus ensuring the viability and efficiency of these packages RL, protecting human beings and the environment.
