Abstract: The aim of this article is to establish a discussion about the teaching degree in the bachelor degrees courses in Universities, having as its main focus the analysis of the Pedagogical Project of Curse. It discusses the process and expansion of the Brazilian Universities in the marketing context and its consequences to the public politics of Higher Education Management, apart from its implications in the teachers initial degrees. From the three main elements of the Pedagogical Project of Course, the concept of education, the egress profile and teaching methodologies, this article criticizes the marketing pattern of education and believes the Teaching degree as a cultural self-education process, which leads to the Greek Paideia.
