Abstract: This work aims to verify the language dematerialization in the narrative of the literary work Catatau, by the poet Paulo Leminski. It starts with the voice in performance of the character Renatos Cartesius, whose rizomatic exercise expands and forms new signic ambience that is as much transitory and nomad as its erratic course thus leading to the rarefaction of the thought and language due to the disruption with the dyadic relationships and with the hypotaxis of the linear syntax. To be able to debate this issue, this work will support itself in the studies of the medievalist poet and voice researcher, Paul Zumthor and in the philosophical thoughts of Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari.
