Abstract: Although the Second Treatise of Government doesn’t aim founding the concept of property, but to show what makes legitimate a government and in which circumstances the appeal to resistance can’t be regarded as illegal, the theory about property as something acquired through work, present in this treatise, was the predominant conception about property in the modern era. This paper seeks to expose the main argumentation of this theory, as contextualizing them in the general argumentation of this treatise as showing in what them be distinguished of the precedent groundwork of property.
