Abstract: This study was carried out to evaluate methods of rust control, during pre-harvesting phase, and to verify plant yield and leaves retention. Coffee cultivar used was a 6-year-old Acaiá MG 1474, with 2.0 x 0.6 meters row spacing. Copper oxichloride and copper sulphate were applied alone and associated to the systemic fungicide epoxiconazole to be tested as preventive. Copper based fungicides applied preventively or associated to the systemic epoxiconazole were efficient to rust control when applied at low disease incidences, resulting in coffee leaf preservation and adequate yield.
