Abstract: | The agribusiness possesses peculiar characteristics that make it difficult the production and increase the risks, needing a professional position for part of the agricultural entrepreneur. The vegetables production in protecting environment using itself of the techniques of the nutrient film technique (NFT) is presented as alternative for the producer in competitive a economy and globalized, a time that allows to the reduction of losses and the increase of the productivity of diverse cultures. Economic viability of the lettuce production was evaluated in the present work in nutrient film technique (NFT) system. The data of production cost had been raised between April of 2007 and May of 2007 in Lavras MG. One concluded that the activity if finds in a situation of negative residue with covering of the changeable resources and part of the fixed cost, that is, the trend of the hidroponicultor the medium and long run is to retract and to leave the activity, therefore the activity if finds in decapitalization process. The producer would need to find ways to raise its monthly production in order to reach the leveling point, equaling its total prescription with its total cost |
