Abstract: Much of the initial teacher training majors promote an emphasis on educational theories, which are necessary but not yet seen in a closer relationship with the reality experienced in schools. For this reason, we aim to discuss the pre-service training of Portuguese teachers, based on the subjects' experience and co-responsibility involved in the teacher training process. For this, we problematize the pre-service training from the idealization of the school; we call upon Vygotsky's sociointeracionist studies (2000) on the constitution of the subjects in the teaching and learning processes, Larrosa Bondía's reflections (2002) on the concept of experience and Nicolescu's reflections (1999) on transdisciplinarity and, finally, we propose a reflection on students and teachers' reports of experience involved in internship in Letters major and we elaborate proposals for intervention. We conclude that the pre-service training of the Portuguese teacher must unite university and school in an effective partnership that rethink the formative process..
