Abstract: This is a theoretical-methodological essay that aims to ponder on the teaching-learning of fights/martial arts within the Physical Education classes at school. In the first segment we bring up the debate the specialized literature presents on the subject. Then, the Physical Education teaching object is delimited, placing the fights/martial arts as one of the expressions of corporal culture of movement. Soon after, to expand and contribute to the reflections aimed at teaching this knowledge, two conceptual aspects are proposed, the rhizomatic perspective, in which there would be a diversity of codified bodily practices, not understood only in their differences, but in the interconnections that arise from similarities, and the ambience of the game, in which the players/fighters would appropriate the knowledge concerning the fights/martial arts. Finally, there are final considerations, at which point we express some impressions and perspectives to discuss the subject.
