Abstract: Understanding that the song “Saga da Amazônia” by Vital Farias enunciate phrases that make it possible to cause discussions in environmental education, this paper aims to point out and discuss the statements that the song evokes, showing how it becomes pertinent in addition to working with sensitivity of high school students, contribute to the construction of a critical look at the problems that surround us, specifically about environmental education. To do so, Qualitative Research methodology wans used and, more specifically, non-referential based discursive analysis of the Bakhtin Circle, or collation of statements. From the analysis of the music, it was possible to understand what it could say related to three spheres of knowledge in our society. They are: cultural issue, environmental issue and politicalsocial issue. In addition, it was possible to realize that this music can contribute to the education of our young people in different areas of knowledge in society: cultural, environmental and political-social.
