Abstract: In remote times, few were concerned with legitimizing the place where the child occupied. The children's world was seen as an “in-between”, a “coming-to-be”, mere biological beings and when they reached a certain age they were inserted in work, in war or reproduction, being integrated into early adulthood. Certainly, when assuming that this behavior does not match contemporary studies on Childhood, it is tacit to admit that it is potentiating elements of competence and autonomy in these individuals. The objective of this project was the elaboration of a proposal for the organization of didactic-pedagogical work in Physical Education for Early Childhood Education, involving aspects of the curricular organization, methodology and evaluation processes with the contributions of Childhood Sociology. For this to happen successfully, existing Pedagogical Proposals for Early Childhood Education in Physical Education, pedagogical principles, proposed methodologies and evaluations was identified in contemporary academic productions and the Curricular Proposals for Early Childhood Education will also be investigated. This proposal arose from the need to discuss and rethink the didactic-pedagogical foundations in Early Childhood Education, the contents, their elements and concepts in Physical Education classes in order to collaborate in the scientific advances of the theme, as well as to think about strategies to develop a proposal pedagogical approach that touches all these elements with the support of the Sociology of Childhood, since there are not many studies in the area. After this survey, a pedagogical proposal for a didactic work for Early Childhood Education will be built for the municipality of Lavras - MG that encompass discussions about playfulness, the concept of autonomy and symbolism.
