Abstract: This work seeks to understand the role of Biology Teaching Methodology in the training of undergraduate students in Biological Sciences at UFLA. At the end of the course, students were asked to evaluate the classes developed and the speeches were analyzed using the qualitative approach of discourse analysis and statements presented. The constituted statements were: Approach to scientific content; Importance of teaching methodology subjects; Importance of the evaluation process. It can be considered that the questions posed by students are fundamental to be considered in the teacher education process, since they provide future teachers with contact with the development of critical and reflective pedagogical practices that contribute to an effective praxis.
