Abstract: | Through cinematographic reproductions, imagination can transport the viewer to another reality, the same connection and feeling that a cook has when preparing and seeing his dish being valued, creating an affectionate relationship. This research aims to establish a reflection on the aesthetic experience from two cultural expressions: cinema and gastronomy. From the literary work “The Feast of Babette”, written by Karen Blixen, we aim to look for new epiphanies that corroborate the care for the human being and the beauty of simple things. In this sense, this research proposes a debate on cinema/literature and gastronomy as a theme for an aesthetic experience. The present study is characterized as an exploratory study of a qualitative nature, where data collection was carried out through a bibliographic research. The aesthetics proposed by Karen Blixen leads to a culture of encounter involving art and beauty, conceived as a counterpoint to the modern universe based solely on instrumental reason, fragmented relationships and the coldness of contrasts. |
