Abstract: The present research aims to analyze how the phenomenon of modalization in multisemiotic texts. The research, based on the conception of modalization as a discursive phenomenon (BRONCKART, 2012), has an analysis of the video animation “Allegory of the Long Spoons”, which seeks to highlight how semiotic resources can act as modalizers in texts in motion, contributing to the education and/ or the work of the teacher in relation to the reading of texts that circulate in the information society. The study of modalizations may favor the formation of more reflective teachers, since it is possible to analyze the semiotic choices made by the enunciators and articulate guiding clues of the interpretative path, which can redimension the practices of teaching reading, making them as an active responsive process, in which readers are considered effectively interlocutors.
