Abstract: This article is the result of qualitative research on the subject of neoliberal rationality in education. The bibliographic worked -The new way of the world: on neoliberal societyby Christian Laval and Pierre Dardot (2016) and The hermeneutics of the subjectby Michel Foucault (2004) allowed answering the following investigative problem: what foundations does neoliberal rationality propose for the constitution of neo-subjects in the context of school education?The proposed objectives were the characterization of a new subject model created from the emergence of the political-economic current known as neoliberal and the identification of behaviors and attitudes of this neo-subject within the educational institution that is configured as a company. It was concluded that school education has been guided by this new rationality that adopts devices and mechanisms aimed at the subjectivation of neo-subjects according to the perspectives of market totalitarianism.
