Abstract: This research seeks to investigate the educational processes triggered in a toy library focusing on gender and sexuality relations intertwined within play. Based on a qualitative research in education, as well as on empirical analysis, we build the investigative tools anchored to the feminist and cultural studies that span the post-structuralist references. Thus, we intend to investigate the reality of a toy library in the south of Minas Gerais, Brazil, which services children from two to seven years of age, with the exception of children with special needs. For this study, we conducted observations, applied questionnaires to educators, and planned a few activities to stimulate the children into speaking of gender and sexuality. Sexuality and gender are social and political issues that must be discussed within educational spaces, emphasizing play such as space for dialog and for new possibilities. Life as power added to art as creative activity, propel the reflection and analysis of educational processes and the (im)possibilities of play triggered within the toy library. According to Gilles Deleuze, science produces functions and art, perceptions. Therefore, we seek to reflect, in light of the concept of existence aesthetics, coined by Foucault, how the children have positioned themselves in face of what is proposed to them. The child is an artist, or has become the artwork?
